Safety Tips

Use SeekProv with confidence.

A few careful checks can help both Seekers and Providers make more informed decisions. Verification and platform safeguards reduce uncertainty, but every user should stay alert and trust their judgement.

01

Review profiles thoroughly

Before engaging someone, read their complete profile rather than relying on a name, photo or star rating alone. Review their listed services, experience, qualifications, written reviews, completed work and verification badges where available. Ask questions if anything important is unclear or inconsistent.

02

Protect sensitive personal information

Do not give another user your password, one-time verification code, card or bank details, government identification number, private documents or other information they do not need to complete the service. SeekProv support will never ask you to share your password or one-time code with another person.

03

Keep communication and payment on SeekProv

Use SeekProv messages, Offers and the approved in-app payment flow. Decline requests to move important conversations or payments outside the platform, transfer money directly, buy gift cards, pay with cryptocurrency or share card information. Keeping activity on SeekProv provides a clearer record if support is needed.

04

Agree the details before work starts

Discuss the exact service, expected result, price, material costs, timing, access requirements and who will attend. Read the written Offer carefully and ask for corrections before accepting it. Do not rely only on verbal promises.

05

Prepare for an in-person service

Tell someone you trust about the appointment, keep your phone available and secure valuables or sensitive documents. Confirm that the person who arrives matches the Provider information you were given. For home services, consider having another adult present when practical.

06

Recognise pressure and other warning signs

Pause if someone pressures you to act immediately, changes the agreed price without explanation, offers an unrealistic deal, asks for unnecessary personal information, sends suspicious links or insists on an unusual payment method. You are free to decline or stop an interaction that does not feel right.

07

Providers should assess requests too

Providers should review the Seeker’s request, confirm the location, scope and access arrangements, and decline work that appears illegal, unsafe or materially different from what was agreed. Avoid carrying unnecessary cash, valuables or sensitive documents to an appointment.

08

Stop, document and report concerns

If you feel unsafe, stop the interaction and move to a safe place without confronting the other person. Keep relevant messages, Offer details, receipts and photos, then report the concern through SeekProv’s support process or email hello@seekprov.com. Contact the appropriate local emergency service immediately if anyone is in danger.
